I found naturopathic medicine as a patient.
I was looking for another way to deal with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) than what was offered to me from the conventional medical system. What I discovered was a complete paradigm shift around healing our bodies. It made sense, I felt better and I knew I wanted to share this medicine with others.
I attended the oldest naturopathic medical school in the country, National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. During my time in medical school I completed a year long internship with Dr. Amy Bader, ND and studied extensively with Dr. Dickson Thom, DDS, ND. Under their guidance, I developed my skills in homeopathy, biotherapeutic drainage, nutritional therapy and counseling.
My goal is to help you feel better so you can live the life you want. In order to do that well, I want to hear your story. I have the medical training to assess and diagnose and treat you but it’s the art of medicine that will really help me guide your body to lasting health. I want to listen to how you got to be where you are and to understand your experience.
This will help me individualize your care and develop a plan that suits you, your needs and who you are, as a whole. Period. Now, let's get you feeling better!

I knew I wanted to be in healthcare after taking a Wilderness EMT course my freshman year of college.
Scared of committing to the length of time it would take to be a doctor, I thought I wanted to be a nurse for a while. My junior year of college I fully committed to the pre-med track, with the end goal of going to allopathic medical school to become an MD. However, my mom ended up getting diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of this school year. She saw an ND in addition to her conventional treatment who was amazing—she helped my mom in really special ways ways that the conventional system could not. After that experience, I took a tour at the National College of Natural Medicine (now National University of Natural Medicine) in Portland, and made the decision to become an ND.
I’m Dr. Kelcie Rosendahl, a naturopathic physician living in Bend, Oregon, & I believe that you have the right to experience freedom within your own body, however that looks and feels to you.
My dog is my world, I spend as much time as I can in the outdoors (preferably climbing rocks), believe in the power of community and honest conversations, consider movement as a form of medicine (be it stretching, walking, or running), and am driven by both my love for the natural world, and hope for what naturopathic medicine can bring to not only your life, but the world at large.

Put simply, Chinese medicine saved my life, and Human Design has changed everything about the lens through which I see, and the ways in which I move, through the world.
I spent well over a decade suffering from undiagnosed, chronic “mystery” illnesses. Unexplained signs and symptoms baffled countless physicians, specialists, and mental healthcare practitioners.
In rare cases I felt seen and heard, but more often, I was met with frustration and dismissal by practitioners who lacked the patience or will to continue seeking answers for my complicated case, or by those who were convinced it was all in my head. I became a product of our very broken healthcare system. Most days felt like dying slowly, but I never stopped advocating for myself or my health.
After a series of very serious misdiagnoses and the near loss of my cognitive function, I was officially diagnosed with chronic, late-stage Lyme Disease and mold toxicity in 2014. I tried months of various medical interventions under the care of the best Lyme Literate Medical Doctors Oregon had to offer, but my condition only worsened. On a last-ditch effort to find relief, I tried Chinese medicine, and it changed the trajectory of my life forever.
Chinese medicine not only helped me reclaim my health, but it also aligned me with my purpose: to share my story and this powerful medicine with others, in hopes they may find similar relief and healing. To provide the heart-centered, patient-centered, individualistic healthcare, we all need and are deserving of.
I will forever be grateful for the power of this ancient medicine, its traditions and the abundant blessings that have resulted from my pursuit of studying this knowledge. It has taken me down countless paths and led me to explore and specialize in modalities I never would have found or pursued otherwise. Now, I am not only a licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Practitioner, but I am also an intuitive, a sound healer, an herbalist and small batch apothecary owner, a Human Design analyst, Daoist Face Reader, subconscious mindset coach, certified Qigong teacher, artist and mycology enthusiast. These modalities were all catalysts in awakening my own healer within… my hope, is for you to feel empowered to connect with and awaken the healer within you as well.
A graduate with a Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, and Doctoral Candidate, for their Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) Program, I am passionate about and dedicated to the lifelong study of this ancient medicine and artform. I am equally dedicated to a lifelong path of walking alongside patients, as we co-create their unique path to wellness. This looks and feels different for everyone and every body. I firmly believe we are all worthy of compassionate, trauma-informed, heart-centered, affirming care. I strive to create a safe container for healing and growth, where you feel witnessed, heard, held, and considered with respect, dignity and choice.
My friends call my Jae, my hopes are, you will too.
From Our Patients
“For about 8 years, I had been experiencing severe pain and locking in my jaw, and when I decided to see Dr. Rosendahl for prolotherapy, the difference was noticeable right away, and after 6 or so weeks, I could open and close my jaw pain-free. It was amazing! I am planning to go back for pain in my neck, and am excited to see the results!”
— Chloe O.
“After a couple of sessions with Dr. Emily Wiggins, I am a New Woman. Fertility support, important and private health conversations, food allergy testing, and even the client intake questionnaire. All have been great makings for a healthy, happy body. Not just a game changer –the food allergy results alone– have been a Life Changer! Thank you, Terrain.”
